Payment Processing - Compliance

GCPay processes millions of dollars in payments to subcontractors nationwide each day. To protect the accuracy and security of these payments, all subcontractor bank accounts are subject to a standard compliance review through our payment processor. This review ensures that all receiving accounts meet required standards and are eligible to receive payment.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Why is my account under review?

In some cases, a review may be triggered by a name mismatch, while in others it may relate to the structure of the account or routing number. While we don’t always have visibility into the specific reason behind each trigger, these reviews are in place to meet regulatory requirements and reduce risk for our customers.

What do I need to do?

Each situation is reviewed on a case‑by‑case basis. We encourage you to contact our support team at support@gcpay.com, and our team will work with you to determine the most appropriate path to validate your account. Depending on the circumstances, acceptable documentation may include a W‑9, a certificate of good standing, proof of EIN, or other similar supporting materials. In some cases, we may also require a brief Zoom call to verify the identity of the individual who signed the documentation submitted through GCPay.

Is the transmission of sensitive information secure?

We will provide a secure Egnyte link, We kindly ask that no sensitive information be shared via email.

Is it mandatory to provide the additional information requested?

Yes. If you wish to use this account to receive payments, the requested information is required. Once an account enters compliance review, failure to provide the necessary documentation may result in an indefinite delay of any AFPs associated with the account, as well as potential restrictions on future payouts to the subcontractor or beneficiary.

Conversely, once the compliance request is satisfied, the affected account will not require future validation.
